Jenny Jinhee Lee is an artist and a licensed creative arts therapist in New York City. Her background of education holds mastery in the fields of art therapy, counseling, psychology, and fine arts.
Jenny’s works are inspired from within as she enjoys focusing on moods and energies of people, objects, and places. Her work explores a vast variety of mediums – including acrylic paint, watercolor, charcoal, oil pastel, ink, clay, plaster, wire, and duct tape – with her most recent works and focus being expressionist paintings. Her work continues to expand as an artist as she continues to grow within the profession of mental health. Jenny has exhibited her art throughout the globe in collaborative exhibitions including New York, Italy, and South Korea.
As a therapist, Jenny aids individuals in achieving life goals and overcoming life difficulties by allowing clients to creatively express themselves through different forms of art. Her mission is to guide clients through their state of being towards a more actualized self within a safe and therapeutic environment. Like her form of therapy, Jenny’s work is about the processing energy and how it can creatively be reflected onto the world in a positive way. She believes in a client-focused practice and guides clients towards a goal-oriented treatment. Jenny's therapy services incorporates different modalities within an individualized treatment plan such as art therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and internal family systems (IFS). She provides psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, and families with specialization in depression, anxiety, bereavement, LGBTQIA+, self-esteem, multiculturalism, adjustment, identity, interpersonal issues, children of immigrant families, women's issues, anger, and career counseling.
